Oil Thermo Install
#2
Sorry to bring back this thread, but i need to ask you something Jay.
Did you remove and install the oil thermostat with the engine in or out of the car? The local porsche specialist said it would be a pain to remove whith the engine still installed (but i couldn't see the reason why, the allen head bolt is very clear and visable).
Any "issues" with installing the thermostat?
Thanks Jay

Hos,
I haven install the new thermo but yes i think it's gonna be a pain
in the ***. Though it's visable, removing the allen nut & installing
the thermo would be a challenge in the tight confinement.

That is what i was thinking about, should be easy since the oil cooler assembley would be out and replace the seals while you are at it, even though mine are still fine (but have no idea if the PO did it already, $30 for the seal kit, would be stupid to not do it).
But the local "specialist" never mentioned that, that is why i asked.
