I just use regular hose clamps... does that make me a bad person?
I just want my 951 to look like it did when it rolled off the production line - it gives me a kick....

Like most things, all zip ties are not created equal. Metal insert type from T&B are probably the best, about $.15 each for small ones. Inexpensive ones, 100 for a dollar or two, are not good for hose clamps, of much else.

They look just like the original factory version.......I've been trying to find those without success. The Swiss Porsche dealers are of no help....

The fact that they're single-use isn't exactly encouraging, though.

FWIW, these came with a Porsche sticker on the packet marked "Schlauchschelle" with the part number 999.512.455.00.
I ordered the larger size 27 kind for some vacuum hoses on my S2, and they come in sets of 5 units at €0.99 apiece.
These are marked 27.1 OET PAT. From the old ones, I can tell that OET stands for the brand OETIKER.

Rob, I just got some of these from the dealer. How do you crimp them? With regular pliers?

I'm using this tool and just squeeze the small bulge/ear:
Is this what you call a regular plier?
They are indeed single-use, but I'm using them only for the small vacuum lines and I don't intend to disconnect them often. Furthermore I have enough of those to replace all of them twice. For the larger lines I use those clamps you can open and close with a screwdriver.
