How many (modified) 951 owners are running without a cat on their street driven cars? Are they necessary to pass emissions on a well tuned car?

If you/the owner, can get the car to run right, with the right air/fuel ratios and what not, they can pass the ROLL test but most places have to see the cat as well, that is where they would fail.

I'm going to be the test dummy for this soon. I have the Fabspeed exhaust from the turbo back, currently running a test pipe. I've ordered their racing cat which should be here in the next couple of days. I'm working on maps right now, trying to get the a/f right (Lindsey MAFterburner), and will fine-tune them once the cat is installed. The car is really rich right now, and I want to adjust it before so I don't kill a brand-new cat.
Once it's done, I'll head for emissions testing. After I pass, I'll probably swap the cat out again and go back for a "test only" just to see what happens.
