Firstly I'll apologize sorry to barge in with a new topic with my first post on this site.
I've been reading posts on Rennlist for about 6months now but have only just signed up! I have noticed Rennlist seems to be the gathering place of the fastest collection of 944's on the planet so I was wondering whether we as a group could produce a rough guide of what performance figures i.e. 0-60, 0-100, and 1/4 mile each level of modification gives?
I am especially interested in the more highly modified examples but a correlation like...
280-300hp (chipped) =
300-350hp (bolt on bits) =
350-400hp (seriously modified) =
400hp-500hp (extreme cars 2.8 and 3.0) =
Thankyou in advance for any replies and I will add my figures to this list as soon as my 2.8 conversion is finished!
Ben
p.s. I posted this on the 944 registry forum but this looks to be a better location for it.

Standing start performance figures are never that great for a 951. They are difficult to launch and expensive to repair when CV joints and trnasmissions break. Few people have timing slips, and when they do the 1/4 mile times are not that impressive, but the trap speeds are. IMHO, top end acceleration figures are more meaningful, but harder/more dangerous to obtain. Also, every modded car will have a different shaped torque curve and have different real world performance.
Having said all that, the following are estimates:
Stock 951 (180 rwhp, 212 BHP): 0-60 mph 6.2 s, 0-100 mph 16 s, 1/4 mile 15 s @ 97 mph, 100-140 mph 22 s
Stock 951S (210 rwhp, 247 BHP): 0-60 mph 5.6 s, 0-100 mph 14 s, 1/4 mile 14.3 s @ 100 mph, 100-140 mph 17.5 s
Chipped 951 (260 rwhp, 306 BHP): 0-60 mph 5.4 s, 0-100 mph 12 s, 1/4 mile 14 s @ 108 mph, 100-140 mph 12 s
Modded 951 (320 rwhp, 375 BHP): 0-60 mph 5 s, 0-100 mph 10.5 s, 1/4 mile 13.2 s @ 116 mph, 100-140 mph 9 s
Modded 951 (405 rwhp, 475 BHP): 0-60 mph 4.7 s, 0-100 mph 8.7 s, 1/4 mile 12.6 s @ 124 mph, 100-140 mph 7 s
Welcome to Rennlist, btw. Do you own a 944, or are you just interested? Don't be surprised or offended if this topic generates some flames!

Yes I have noticed lots of abusive responses to every topic. Cheers for the stats I was aiming for a multi response average but you seem to have done the whole job for me, cheers,
'Do you own a 944, or are you just interested?'
yep I am indeed a 944-a-holic the pic I'm using is my current car (1985pre ABS turbo) but I had a 944lux before that (best sounding car ever with the right exhaust). My current car is currently undergoing some serious surgery from standard 220 to 2.8 heavily tuned monster (hopefully damn quick) Spec I'm going for is...
MAP kit, lindsey Super 61 turbo, lindsey stage 2 Intercooler, 55lb/hr Injectors, DV30 blow off valve, guru custom mapped chips, Lindsey stage 2 head (ported and polished), Mahle pistons, pauter rods (probably), 2nd hand reground 3.0 crank, dual port waste gate, custom exhaust mid section (to dump wastegate to atmosphere), Dansk s/s rear box (for standard look)
I'm hoping for 400rwhp nut that might be ambitious we shall see when its done, run in and dyno'd???

p.s. it should have been finished 3weeks ago but once the block was apart we found out two of the bores were scored!! Hopefully found a not too costly solution now but the long wait is killing me!!!!!

Wonder no longer! I dragged a Supra TT that pulled a 13.3 at 117mph last weekend. The 60 was not even THAT bad, well a little bad, 2.3 IIRC. I had im all the way till the last few meters. The 3rd > 4th in those things is incredible.

'NZ951' I'm just curious how do you convert KW to Hp? I was watching a video called 'High Octane2' which was filmed in Newzealand and they were giving performance figures in Kw I had no idea how to convert them??
Also reading the specs for your car it looks quick but couldn't judge what hp you were running?

Ben
Go to the following website for a converter tool (Kw to hp):
http://www.tvss.net/train/tools/08.htm
239 Kw equates to approx 320 bhp.

I ran a 13.1 @ 108 with probly 250-260 rwhp. 2.1 second 60 foot.
Cup Clutch and 10.5" rear tires probly helped. I also launched and shifted the hell out of it.
The 13.1 was a best. Consistenly in the 13.2s to 13.3s
