Jimbo, please send me an email with your mods. I'm drafting some pictures to illustrate how the DME works starting from air flowing past the filter. You're all talking about different areas of the same process and that's where the apparent confusion is setting in. TT did a job with quantitative numbers, I'll just convert them into pictures and everything becomes very clear. 
"All I have to do is scale it back 37% and both fuel and timing maps will meet at the correct spot."
Fuel & timing are always referenced from the same point... back in a little bit.
