I wish I could say yes. I love my cars, but a 993 carrera or TT is my dream car.

Comparison, analysis, which model to look for perhaps, differences in grip etc... the stuff that bought a smile.

I've been in a lightly modded 996TT. We were doing 165mph on the back straight at VIR. Crazy fast and smooth. No surge like my car

996 = ugly

993 = classic and will hold value much better.

Thats Raj's car IIRC... VERY nice. Wait till you jump in a 993TT before you settle on a dream though! Thats an amazing car and a LOT of $$$$ in it.

Stock for stock no comparison in terms of power , handling or luxury. Hardly any lag , good gearing but the clutch takes some people by surprise because it requires almost no effort. Excellent power , you have to pay attention, the speed comes sudden. A hint of understeer but can be power oversteered , great traction due to the all wheel drive , car feels nimble and small , good brakes. Interior is full leather incl dash.
Not cheap to maintain due to age and possibly earlier neglect . Fairly easy to modify but not cheap. For best performance one should use 93 octane and up.
A x50 996tt is significantly faster but lacks the raw feel of the 993. As with most street supercars the driver is the limiting factor, but you can make mistakes with both cars and recover, within reason of course.
My experience is limited to US cars.

What are the 0-60 and 1/4 of the X50 and 993TT?

I am going here by memory but in respect to 1/4 mile depending on track , altitude etc the x50 can be high 11's and the 993 is about 0.75 to 0.95 sec slower. My personnel experiences comes more from 80 - 150 mph , the x50 really comes on very strong with it's superior aerodynamics. Now the GT2 is in another world in comparison to the two cars in question , it pulls very hard at those speeds.

I've riden in a 993TT. Its quick. Probably about the same as your car, maybe slower (stock, but they mod well like us)
Jauder Has one, and hes been bitten by the mod and track bugs... ask him how many events he's been to in the past year.
