Can someone help me with my problem and give me some advice what to do.
Type car 944 turbo 1986.
When I put my ignition on 12v and not starting the car my orginal turbo gauge is not reading 1 atmosphere ??
It is reading about 0.8
My vacuum line from KLR to manifold is oke.
I have also change KLR box but still the same.
When I driving the car the turbo boost goes only to 1.6 bar in every gear.
I think this is too little boost.
When I look for code check than he gives fault code 3.1 boost pressure to low !!!
I also change blow off valve for newer type.
I still think working from blow off valve is not good, because when I driving in 3th gear about 4000 rpm and I go to 4th gear my turbo guage meter goes from 1.6 bar to 0
Is this normal or must by changing gear my turbo boost goes back to 1 bar instead of 0 ?
Have somebody some idea ?
Thanks.

Are you running a blow off valve or a by-pass valve. If your running a Blow off valve thats your reason, you need to have it set up so it doesn't blow into the atmosphere but so it blows into the vacuum system... UNLESS you have set it up to run another way.

I'd like to know how you pulled the codes from an '86 DME! I seem to recall that ODB (On Doard Diagnostics) style DMEs didn't hit the streets until the '89 models.

OK, you got the code from the KLR, but my question is still how did you do that? Did you use an ODB Scan tool?
BTW: You need to update your profile so we know where you are and what you are driving. A more complete profile makes it easy for local owners to help if necessary.

Ah-Ha. So that's what the LED pin on the diagnostic connector is for! I swear, I learn something new every day!
The cool part is I have a 12 volt LED collecting dust in the garage!
Thanks!
