I just read through the thread and realised I never finished sending the post about my boost enhancer! You must have all thought I was going insane. Sorry. To cut a long story short when I bought my car I had a boost controller fitted (with standard chips) and I had the exact sysmptoms described. Then I removed it again and all was fine for about an hour before it started with the hessitation and rough running again. I thought my engine was buggered then replaced the cap. The rest is written above! (my message didn't send because there was a power cut 'computer reset! ops)
