Even better if the rods cleared a stock 2.5 case without modification.

Chris, a 2.8L kit with the correct parts like Andial used to sell would be nice, however, not at the price Andial used to ask

Chris:

Just a suggestion...how about instead of cross drilling, just place the rod oiling holes at the correct position in the first place?

Love to have a 2.8L, but it is not in my near term financial plans. Two teenage daughters! Sounds like fun though.

I believe they still carry them, but they're absurd - like $5,000 or something! Heck, I could build a 3.0L turbo for that!

I believe that when I last called they were out of pistons for the kit. I could be wrong however.

The oil holes are in the correct place where oil can feed just before it is needed. All cranks have the holes this way.
It has not, to my knowledge, been shown that cross drilling has an effect on 944 cranks and it would be damn difficult to prove.

I believe the engines are becoming so old now that there will be many cranks that need repair and to then get a new stroker crank at almost the same price would be tempting for most people so 20/year is not unrealistic in my opinion.

I would buy one later in the year, this would be next winter's project. Even better if you can offer a kit with ALL the parts needed.

When you take this out of context it sounds pretty bad. Hopefully the DEA isn't listening too closely. Not that a man in rural NY with a stable full of Porsches would trigger any red flags.

LMAO, jeez, I'm sitting in class guys!

Anyhoo, it is a _must_ that the rods clear without modification. This would sell 10 times better as just a drop in and go kind of kit.

Cruise 98, well done for spotting that. Most don't even know how it should be!
