How man time have you taken off the intake?
I have taken off the intake manifold 3 times last week due to 'forgetting' things. I may have totake it off once more tonite due to a 'feeling' installing one (or more) intake gaskets the wrong way (thus effecting the injector spray patterns).
Wondering if i am the only one, or how many people out there taken off their intakes and the duration for this (for any reason).

Im tackling mine for the injectors (gasket may have blocking it) also, double check a vacuum hose (have another "feeling" about it being loose)........

The gasket on intake runner 1 should be placed upside down compared to the remaining 3 (runners 2,3 & 4) But i installed the 4th one the same way as the first one which blocks an injector path (take off the fuel rail and look at the injector ports to see if the gasket gets in the way or not).

Gee, and I was feeling sorry for myself taking it off for the thrid time in three years.... Fortunately, I paid attention to the warnings in Clark's Garage, etc. about the gaskets, and have yet to screw them up. Hussam, I see you answered your own question: pull the fuel rail and injectors. Look in the injector ports: if you can see part of the gasket, it is in backwards and the mainfold needs to come off.

Don: Yeah, but i am in the office and i was just thinking on how to check the gaskets/injectors. That is when i started the poll. Minutes later, i realized that pulling the fuel rail would show the gaskets

Mine's off for the first time now... I never knew I had to pay attention to the orientation until I read this. Thanks!!!
I guess I should at least read through the Clarks Garage procedure once, huh?
