Question KKK A/R rating

From what I've seen a KKK #8 turbine has an area of 8 cm², but which area is that, the turbine inlet or outlet? And how does that translate to A/R numbers?

It's the area of the tightest point of the inlet just before the turbine... an 8cm2 is from what I know an A/R of 0.57. Unless somebody has different info...

I was informed that the KKK #8 would give A/R of 0.62 (more or less of what Skunk mentioned).

I'm curious. I can't find squat on the K26/6 really. Where'd you find that number?

Well, the area in question is the outlet area, and I've heard that's the inlet area... and I'm not so sure that number is correct. I hear a rumor that the #6 is 6cm², but in that case when you convert the numbers over, divide by pi, square it and double it, you get a diameter of 1.08" when it's actually 1.85" in reality.

I digress... the a/r ratio is the ratio of the housing's cross-sectional area divided by that section's radius from the center axis. The inlet diameter is a different story all together.

...anybody sure of the a/r for either the compressor or the turbine??
