Whats wrong with having a strut tower brace??
I bought one since I won't be in stock class this year.(autox)
I'll be running 245/45/16's all the way around this year using the 16x9
clubsports from two sets I have.

Well, for one thing, they really don't make one for my 944S2.

Second: it gets in the way if you need to work on your engine.

Third: most people slap one on and their 'butt dyno' tells them they have improved the car's handling. Unless something is done to tighten up the rear end somewhat a front STB will only add more understeer to our cars, which as discussed above, are already prone to plowing.

The third reason is the main reason why I'm not a big fan of STB's.

But really STB are more of a bling since they dont do very much, at all. And just to make you happy, I have welt 250s in front and konis all aroung with a devilish STB. So yes, I have a lot of understeer. I am basically plow happy.

Will D90 16x9 wheels with 245/45/16 tires fit in front of 951?

The offset of 7.5x16 D90 is 65 mm
The offset of 9x16 D90 is 52.3 mm
65 > 52.3 => it should fit on your '90 951 no problem.
Just fit your rear wheels at the front and you will know for sure.

PS : have you eventually looked at the font shocks on your 951 ? I sent you a PM a long time ago.

I have RE730s mounted on the wheels currently. You are welcome to check it out virtually any time.

The front strut towers can easily flex several millimeters during cornering, even with street tyres. Try and tape a string between the tower and the middle of the firewall and see the tape get ripped.

A good roll cage which is connected to the towers and a strut brace is a good thing if you want to control the tyres.
