Congrats Chris! Post up on the drive when it happens, that way listers who are home on your proposed route might be in a position to offer assistance if anything happens. I would take it you would come through Little Rock and Memphis on your way home...I'm in between those two a lot.
good luck

Sorry Chris BEAT IT! Go back to your 924....pshaw--a 924 isn't even a "real Porsche"

Just kidding--congrats on the 951--looking forward to seeing it at the 'Fest

My mind is spinning on rebuilding the original motor.. I'm planning on upgrades on the rebuild- I want a nice mix of reliability and longetivity-

But oh BABY, Daddy LOVES the boost!

I'm practicing how to flick 100$ bills on the floor in one swift move.
Whats the saying...

"When you can light a $100 on fire and watch it burn without flinching, youre ready to own a 951"

Yes Chris, welcome to the boostaholic club, but don't worry about the long drive, 951's are extremely reliable. I just picked up my 2nd 951 and after 500 miles trip had no issues whatsoever and I didn't even bother to check water or oil. The P.O. had complained of rod bearing failure but the car did it just fine, here is the proof;

Welcome chris... Your about to learn that you can be so frustrated with a car, you could kill someone, yet be so in love with it at the same time. You'll also realize that you need to learn to control the tone of your voice everytime a loved one tells you to sell that, I told you not to buy an old car, it frightens people when you threaten their lives.

Welcome to boost. You may want to consult our local favorites.... Guru, Vitesse, SFR, Lindsey, Powerwerks...

Chris, let me know if you want a co-pilot, I have driven that route tons of times, be happy to fly down and drive back with you.

That's fine Zach.. I'll just sit in the back of the room during the meetings, and be quiet. Watch, listen and learn.
