The LR kit has all black, original hoses.

I thought the venturi was eliminated in the 87 model year? Mine was one of the last 87 model year 951's produced (it was actually produced _in_ 87), so I thought it wouldn't have it.

My CV is gone and long forgotten.

I took the estimeed advice of some people smarter than I and just got a filter for a air compressor from the local hardware store:

http://www.canadiantire.ca/assortmen...57&showback=no

(Mine's blue instead of grey, remove any stickers on it and it looks very industrial)

I chopped the AOS hose after the 90deg elbow, used a half barbed/half threaded connector to a braided SS hose running to the input of my catch can/filter, then another SS hose running to the intake pipe. Looks very clean.

The only issue I have is that I'm going from the 16/17mm ID AOS hose to a 1/2"ID SS hose. Hopefully it won't affect the flow too much....
I'll try to take a picture when I get a chance.

I just received My Swiss' hose kit. I was under the impression that it was complete, but obvioulsy I was wrong. To bad his kit is recommended in every thread regarding "Venturi delete" when it's not complete. Does anybody have the part number for the hose to the brake booster?

hosrom,
Can you take a picture of the 87 hose update once you have it installed. I am getting ready to put mine in soon and I would like to see what it looks like in place so I can make sure the orientation is correct.

Does anyone heatwrap the bottom of the intake manifold? Either using some kind of heatshielding or the white wrap?

This is what i ordered and recieved :

http://www.lindseyracing.com/Merchan...KEMANIFOLDMISC

And here is a quick pic:

If you look closely, the brake booster hose (the longe one) goes from the booster to the intake, no connections. If you look at the third pic i posted on the 1st page, you would see that the first part of the early brake booster hose on my car was torn up and leaked, causing good brakes/bad brake condition. I also noticed right after boosting, the brakes felt super good and sensitive, off boost they were just deadly.

MySwiss Kit doesn't replace the whole hose, it is a blue silicon hose that attaches to the early hose.

I placed the LR brake booster hose to see if it fits (but didn't connect it) and it did fit nicely. But i will post pics tomorrow of the final install.

You don't need a special hose for the brake booster, you can just use a generic hose. Actually, that is what Lindsey sent me when I ordered it back in 2003.

This is what was hiding underneath the intake manifold:

You can see how the hoses just broke off on the connectors and see how the venturi also broke off (and how it is made )

I literally just held them in my hand, barely applied pressure to them and about to take them off and what i got was either a louch craking nouse (hose craking) and/or some just came off in my hand..........damn!

You can eliminate the cv without a fancy wastegate. I have been running a reliaboost and the cv bypassed for about a year now. The only problem is the reliaboost needs to be cranked up. I also replaced my hoses with the update kit from porsche. Don't be alarmed when there aren't as many hoses as the original set up. Good luck hosrom.

My swiss hose kit:
The longest hose is about 36,5"
I have no idea where any of them go

If you haven't done so you should replace the J-boot as well.
I'm just finishing the same job. My J-boot crumbled when I tried to remove it.
I deleted the CV an installed a reliaboost.
I also removed the 3 pipe vacum thing under the manifold.
It's alot less cluttered now.

the j boot usually fails at about the same time the rubber hoses do.
I'm getting the j boot and the intake hose kit from lindsey.

I noticed that it doesn't seem to include the hose from the air oil seperator. Where can I get that hose?...
