What trim is your B? Is it a BB?

If you plan on future mods (p&p for example) and have a plan for track/DE's, you may sacrifice some lag but it would give you more top end power to use.....

Unless you get a BB #8 hotside

So if i get a P&P! i can run with a #8 hotside with no problems?

p&p allows more air, thus helps in more power. I mentioned mods like the p&p becuase then on the #6 hotside you would have backpressure problems. A #8 with p&p would reduce lag, how much? i wouldn't know that.....

A BB or even a Dual BB turbo would spool like mad, but they are pricey and costs to rebuild start @$380 (note, this is JUST a rebuild price, it doesn't cover worn damaged compressor blades, shafts and so on).

NZ951 and Daniel951 are both running #8 hotsides, NZ has p&p while Daniel is stock head and block.......ask them if your planning on #8 hotside since they have the real world experience regarding this.....

My turbo is a bb, so I'm not too concerned about lag. I just want the best matched hotside for my setup.

Kevin,

ours is a b - the bb might make a difference.

BB is ball bearing

DBB (Dual Ball Bearing)

B (single) referrs to the housing (such as T04B)

i know you know this, but just to i intend to stop some confusion on this subject

Hosrom,

Absolutly - more proper to say that we have a 'b', and the dbb might make a difference in spoolup, maybe less lag...

DrRon, we have pretty much the same setup except for our hotsides. I made 310hp at 18psi at my last dyno run on a tired engine. Something must be up if you are seeing less then this because the #8 should allow for more HP. How bad were your numbers?
