Who's running or has run with a k27/6?

Me thinks it's a to4e 56 trim with an 8 hot x-over to turbo pipes are wrapped I forget where it starts building boost but it's quick I think I was reaching full boost by 3200? kinda cold to test it now no traction

I have one too, and have been running it for probably 4 years. It's a pretty good street turbo, I've never seen an aftermarket turbo dyno show a faster spool-up. It does have much higher backpressure which can limit boost and efficiency especially above 5000rpms. I know because I run mine with only the wastegate spring for boost control which makes it subject to backpressure. It runs 17-18 psi in the mid-range and at 5000 rpms it nearly takes a step down to 14 psi. In this configuration with APE MAF and chips, 3bar FPR, and testpipe it's run 305rwtq and 282 rwhp but surprisingly I also ran dead even with a Z06 from 20-120 mph a couple of years ago. Mine is by far noT tuned as well as it could and by using a better wastegate with better control, you can run higher boost and get more hp and tq but I think it's practical everyday driving limit is probably 300-310 hp.
I did mine before Vitesse came around, as a matter of fact my MAF came from one of John's race cars when he was experimenting, but to do it over again, and I might one of these days, I'd get John's Stage 2. My two cents... If you pay somebody to put the turbo in, you'll pay more for that than the turbo so just spend a little more and get a great turbo. If you get a good deal on a K27/6 and you can do the work yourself, then go ahead and try it.

EMW porsche dyno sheet
I was looking at your dyno sheet , Do you know what was the reason for your power drop off after 4800 RPM?
Seems like a very narrow power curve averaged across the power range , the total power available to you is approx 315 if going to 6000 rpm ...
is t that it is running lean after 4400 rpm or is the turbo dropping the boost ?

yeah I do. The car wasn't beeing tested for power but was being problem solved. They installed the wastegate backwards. When they noticed it boosted to 24 psi they ended the run, it was afterall only on 92 octane, and no dougbt as lean as a bean.
as for the powerband - it al depends when you start the dyno, my second pic shows it starts at 3500 -3600 rpm, the 27/6 NEVER took that long to spool about 3-3200 for mine, that's just when we started recording the run

I have talked to them before and if you have a stock k26/6 they can upgrade it. This is what they told me, but they take the k26 side and make it bigger, rebuild, $650 out the door, need the turbo for at least 6-8 hours to do it. Then I asked about a 8 hotside and he tried to talk me out of it, to much lag but that would be another $180. Now he says with the first one, the build, making the k26 side bigger, you can get 30-40 more HP at the same boost level but to me, that sounds HIGH, but I am not a turbo re-builder or tester, so I don't know.
