Default aarrrgh sparks!!!!!!!

I opened my hood for it's weekly inspection when I saw that the turbo water pump thremostat was bare....the PO modifed it to where the plug/cap does not just plug into the sensor........he has la clamp like thing that over time slid off and as soon as I picked it up to reconnect it , must have tocuched something and sparks flew...did I just burn out my turbo water pump or just a fuse?

Yu should not have burnt anything - that is a ground switch. The thermostat supplies a ground for the pump to operate.

Thanks man.....I thought the worst coukld be a fuse or the actual thermostat switch the screws on the engine....funny thing is my turbo water pump is not starting...but I am niot pushing the turbo either......but I do remember it starting regardless after I shut off the engine after a drive even if not a spirited one.
