Default Just picked up a 2004 CLK 55 AMG

Guys we picked up a 2004 CLK 55 AMG. It's black with Charcoal leather interior. I must say, my 951 would get SMOKED by this car BIG TIME. I read some threads where people have beaten M3's with these cars. Is this true? I mean, it does have over 360 hp and 370 torque, so it doesn't seem impossible. I'm looking at ECU upgrades. I'm gonna post pics of it when the snow goes away....lol.

Anyone here own a CLK 55? I've got some questions. Thanks.

There is one in my apartment complex here at the U. This place is a geraman car paradise. I have the only porsche though. Which is pretty cool. 330 and 328 seems to be what they like. There is a brand new S4 though.

A chip would get you ZERO on that motor, however there is a cam/headers/ ECU pkg available which will bump it to around 400 fwhp. Expect stickershock for that combo. Straightline is fairly even with a M3 , much will depend on the driver and in cornering the M3 has a edge. The main handicap of the AMG is the lack of a limited slip which slows the car down due to excessive wheelspin in corners but is MBZ's safety aproach for the average driver.

Congrats Cristiaan! I drove a C55 the other day, it ran very well! I just got my wife a C320 wagon. I was looking at a few upgrades in a couple of vendor magazines and she said - "You are not putting anything on this car you understand me...I like it just like it is and it's my car. I don't need anymore ump and I like the way it rides...." anyway, you get the picture . But the 3.2L did surprise me a bit, nothing to likes of AMG of course. The handling of the AMG is great too. Post up the pics, here is one of the wifes new ride, oh, but she did concede to AMG 5 star wheels when these tires are done.

The car is rear wheel drive, and yea this car spins tires like nothing. It does have traction control. The pictures are not available at the moment due to the unbelievable horrible weather I'm having here. Frickin 2 feet of snow over here.

I just did. I just ordered two, 2 year memberships. I don't have my member number yet, so i'll email you my pics. Also I'm gonna send you some pictures of my 951. I just got some new wheels and I completed my clear turn signal and reflector setup. Hope you like them.

My 951 accelerates as fast if not faster than my 425rwhp E55 (when the HG is intact of course)

Does that E55 really weigh 4300 pounds, or something like that?
