How hot before you warp the head?

Yep, doing a leakdown when I can get my compressor up there.
Got a good look at it in the light today, and I found more disturbing news. In each of the intake ports, there are 2 trails of soot. One up each side of the intake port, and they're pretty good width too. I guess this means I'm getting blowby on my intake valves. I saw this on my 86 NA, and it seemed to actually fix itself after a few track days. My biggest worry is, when we were doing the timing belt, somehow I lost track of things, and turned the engine over once by hand with the cam out 2 teeth. I'm worried I nicked the intake valves with the pistons.....
This is starting to look like a good time to rebuild the head.... and if I rebuild the head, I should check out the cylinders while I can see them, and since the rod bearings need changing, why not pull the engine, and change them, would make the clutch easier, etc....this job just got really expensive.
I think this is going to become a project car, instead of a daily driver.
This car is really starting to get me down right now...
