I found an old turbo chart showing which cars had K27's. It seems that the 964's after 89 had the coveted 7200 variant. Turbochargers.com will recommend you just get a new T04E variant with a replica #8 turbine, rather than try to find a K27 for you. There are tons of threads here which go in detail on how to make the water cooling pipe fit the larger compressor housing.

Not sure, there may be a switch between years, don't know the 930's as well and the 944.

eclou,

Did you use the water cooled center from your k26 or is a different center needed for bolting the 930 cold side to the 951 hotside?

I had the choice of using the my old 26/6 W+O center vs the one from the K27 which was oil only. I decided to go with the W+O one. Either one works just fine, with no fitment issues.

Does any one know anything such as flow characteristics of the 3ldz 930 compressors? I have seen a lot of posts in the 911 forums that the 7200 is an upgrade that the 911 turbos do from the 3ldz. I have seen the 7200 also mention when doing the k27 upgrade on our cars. How does the 3ldz cold side compare to the k26 cold side on our cars?
