Default 4 wheel alignment in Charlotte area NC where to go?

I just got some new tires, just wanted to know a if there was a good place to get an alignment done. I assume your local aligment shop is not a good idea??

A porsche shop here in town (Mooresville) quoted me $95/hr and 2-3 hours. Seems high??

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

I was quoted $150 from one of the local "tuners" here. That was for a "track" alignment for the '84. Your quote seems a little on the high side.

Call Eurowerks in Indian Trail. I don't know if they have an alignment rack there, but they can at least point you to a good place.

944s are notoriously difficult to align, so 2 hours for a 4-wheel job isn't unreasobable. By all means, find someone who works on these cars on a routine basis.

Jim Burton (Eurowerks) is a Rennlist member, you could just PM him. I think his screen name is Jim@Eurowerks.

I have heard great things about Speedwerks also in Thomasville. I heard that they have a huge shop and do a lot of racing setups. When I get mine finished, I am planning on taking it by to get it corner balance and aligned.
