Default Wich chip? guru racing / vitesse racing / Lindsey racing ?

Hi,

Wonder wich chip you all think is the best for an 951 S.

Will run it togeather with larger injectors and 993 turbo BOV,
and either an boost enhancer or an dual port w/g,

I have heard that an enhancer only works togeather with the stock W/G could someone explain to me Why.?

Also what you all think is the best either boost enhancer or an dual port W/G.

Thanks - Mikael

I have no experience with the Lindsey chips, but I have had two sets of Guru chips and one set of Vitesse. Vitesse ROCKS!

Out of curiousity, are the Lindsey chips actually Kokeln chips relabeled, or did they get their own? Thats not a slam on Lindsey in either case, like I said, I have not used theirs.

Regards,

The consensus is generally Vitesse, but his chips are maybe $100 more than Guru. Guru has had some customer service issues in the past so buyer beware. I am not familiar with Lindsey Racing's chips.

I personally have Guru chips on my 86 951. They are much better in many ways than the Autothority StgII chips that were on the car when I bought it. They are good chips and I haven't had any trouble.

With that said, I think you will find superb John's customer support, especially given that you are overseas, to be worth whatever additional price. John is very accomodating and informative. He should be able to guide in the best direction for your car.

i wouldn't worry to much about the 993BOV and spend my money on some chips wastegate and a boost controller. i have had great experiences with Guru as other have not but he does make great chips and sells chip set kits which include reliaboost controller wastegate shimms and chips. If u plan on upgrading the wastegate i would do this also to hold boost alot better. i wouldn't worry to much about upgrading the fuel injectors unless u have a upgraded turbo.

Mikael, a boost enhancer primary function is to compensate for a wastegate that opens too early, ie on a boost that is too low. Primarily caused by a bad spring.

A dual port w/g, with adequate chips, and a simple Manual Boost Controller is a very effective solution. And, do not forget to include a mechanical boost Gauge.

A boost enhancer with wastegate shims is the low budget solution.

I would go with Vitesse. Probably the same performance as Guru.

The other vendors are knowledgble and know our cars well but as far as chips I will have to say Vitesse since it's what I know most about and to be honest I really love his products, piggyback is awsome and chips are written well and he knows his stuff!! Vitesse!!!!!!!!!

I want to also salute all other vendors for we need as many turners as possible for our cars !!
But really hats off to John, Vitesse!!, I never purchased anything from him....the previous owner had and I must say allthough they had issues John treated me llike a regular customer and was allways helpfull and keep in mind I have not given him one cent.....and he was allways helpfull and proffesional..that tells me a lot about his bussiness...and of course I am not the only one that will tell you that!
Great Job Vitesse

I've installed 4 sets of Vitesse chips and each one was perfect. The performance, flexability, reliability, and service is unmatched. And yes, I've tried the others.

Vitesse for President? That may go to his head a bit. VP would be okay but I'd rather see him as the acting director of the EPA.
