Default Anyone have a source for this fuel rail adapter?

9xauto.com has it on their website (The picture is taken from their website). Its out of stock and they've ignored my questions on when it will become available.
Anyone have another source? Or maybe a used one they want to get rid of?

TIA

just drill and tap the cap at the end of the rail and go to your hardware store

I already did that but there is really not much depth to the fuel rail's cap after being tapped, the gauge is only held on by maybe 2 or 3 threads. I'm worried that might be prone to leaking. Also this will allow me to just leave the gauge on without worry of mashing up my hood.

Thanks though, appreciate the reply.

You don't want to leave the gauge on there, they have a tendency to fail quickly under such vibration, and the resulting leak is worse than a fuel rail leak. The fuel rail end also is not designed to take the load of holding up a gauge cantilevered out there, and the thread base will get brittle and eventually crack.

My first gauge did fail, but seeing as my motor mounts are shot that prolly didnt help the situation.

I have that little adapter block on my car, no leaks so far but I cranked it on pretty well and used Teflon.

Okay, thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I'd still like to know if anyone aside from 9xauto has these in stock and available, so if anyone can speak to that, I'd appreciate it.

They appear in eBay quite often Paul... you really dont need the adapter, I have the entire thread in the rail off the gauge, and LESS parts that screw in to the rail the LESS chance of leaking wouldnt you think? The thread on the VDO had maybe 6 or 7 turns IIRC. Maybe more.

I have not heard of any leaking actually. LOTS of people have them as well. I would not be that worried!

I do not see any point in leaving it there under the hood. You cannot see your fuel pressure under load (except on a dyno) so it'd just be for setting initial pressure. I have a fuel pressure test kit with a guage, hoses and adapters that was pretty reasonable to purchase. I just put it on when needed.
