I have got the filter on the tube at the moment, and I have not had any problems, I am just figuring more venting is better... I am not even sure I need the cap or what the effect is, more putting it out there and seeing the response. It seem everyone who has removed the fuel purge has just put a filter on and had no problems...

I have written the procedure about 3 times in the last week!

But... it pretty simple, remove lines and plug the port under the TB. Take the plastic shield in the fender wall and remove the charcoal cannister, remove the fuel vent line back to the tank or where ever you feel comfortable, then add a filter. I did it near the tank where the line is rubber so it mad eit easy to fit a generic fuel filter and was high up and protected, others say leave the line a metre or so... oh and get some of the plastic srew hole plugs if you want to clean up the area.

No worries, you may have more questions when you actually do it, just PM me if you need anymore instruction, its pretty easy though and cleans up the bay and saves some weight!

I just used a $5 fuel filter from my local super cheap auto spares store. This is so dust etc wont go into the tank. Oh another reason for having the filte closer to the tank is that its further away from the driver. SO the chance of fuel smells would be less. I dont get any at all.

In addition, once the venting mechanism is removed, you will have 3 srew holes. I just went out and bought some rubber plugs (20 cents) and had some matching silver paint, painted them, plugged the holes and here ya go...

Well its just a generic fue filter from the local bargin bin autostore, it does not even have a name on it! I crawled under the car to take the pic, the hose ID I am guessing is more what you need to make a filter decision? Well, its only 4-5mm. Perhaps you should tell me why you need the pic then I may be able to answer the question, or I can jack the car up and take it off and get a pic for ya.

Yeah it was in the $5 bin lol so I was like yup, that will do. Just ask to see the selection and pic one that you think will work best. I had to do the same thing when I deleted my turbo water pump and ground off the old metal assembly and got the NA tank...
