R1 HAD to beat that thing - unless the rider had Wynona Judd on the back.

I'll take the C4. It has roughly 10 times the contact patch of the bike, at least 4 times the braking power, and can generally carry more speed. Bikes vs. Cars on track is a pretty worthless comparison, find a track with long enough straights and a few big sweepers and the bike will kill the car, find a track with a good amount of turns and shorter straights and the car is at the advantage.

Car and Driver has done this twice as far as I know and on the track the bike spanks the car....but on dusty, half wet or otherwise sketchy roads the car takes it. You really do need a LOT more skill to drive a bike at 8/10ths vs a car. I'm anxious to see this vid, but a bike should easily whoop him on a dry track.

It all depends on where it is being run and what car vs. what bike. Since he is referring to an old video, I wont spoil it for you.

As to the top levels of racing: F1 cars lap about 17 sec per lap faster than GP bikes at the same circuits. Downforce, traction, and tires are essentially why, Oh yeah, no fear of dying when falling off.

17 seconds a lap....I wonder how much of that would be made up if the bike had a way of creating downforce?
