I agree, I prefer to have something to grab onto. I am leaning towards a wheel with "nubs" just above the spokes.

Does anyone know if the Momo adapters also work with Sparco wheels?

Yes, they do. I'm using the Momo adaptor for my Sparco wheel.

I'm using a Momo adaptor with a Sparco Ring in black suede. It is a little smaller which does obscure part of the gauges but for me the feel of the suede and the spoke placement are perfect.

here's a side question kinda related... will 996 steering wheels fit? I'd like to have that airbag and the better look of the 996 vs the 944s..

How do you get a "aftermarket" steering wheel to go onto the steering collum? I have been very interested in getting a momo or now a sparco but im not sure how they go on

They have adapters most likely. I want to get a new wheel over christmas but i want the release adapter for my wheel im kinda paranoid when i leave it somewhere for long periods of time, but the questions is can i get an adapter for any wheel or do I only have the choice of MOMO which i beleive has it.

Love the gauge rings Jay! I got some but they went over the text on my aftermarket faces... yes its a momo adapter that make it fit...
