Default Engine Management System?

I was talkin to a shop that does dynos and the asked me what kind of engine managment system will i be using? Anyine help me out.

It sounds like you have a stock computer and that is what Konstantin just answered, the Bosch Motronic. Some people have standalone EMS setups that replace the entire computer and some people have piggyback setups that massage the signal the stock computer sees, thus altering its output.

I think the shop assumes that if you are spending money on dyno time you will have a way to alter the engine control. Some people just want to see how their engine performs. I suggest getting a wideband O2 mapping from the dyno as well. This will show if your A/F ratios are bad for any reason.
