Default KEP stage 1 pressure plate stiffness? (again)

i need a new clutch, and i'm thinking of getting a KEP stage 1 pressure plate (the 3200lb one) - the only thing i'm concerned with is, how much stiffer than stock is it? the car is a daily driver, will see rush/peak hour etc.

i see some people say it's fine for the street, others say it's undriveable, etc etc. any opinions/experiences? is it really that bad on the street, or just something that is a pain for a while and that you eventually get used to?

also, thinking of going with paragon to get it...600 is a good price?

is that a late question hally, or r u going off my sig? u do realise that's a PC i'm describing .

i got my dyno run(s) done at B&M Fuel Systems, they're located in Richmond just off Church Street (a bit south of Swan St). costs me $80 per session or thereabouts. I don't know what Fitzy charges, but it's prolly a fair bit more...eg a chip kit from Fitzy will cost like 1000+ or something. Gurus are 400 or something .

I'm happy with B&M, they seem to know what they're on about, they'll do the run, listen to the engine for pinging, etc. I usually get 3 or 4 runs, do a 4th gear, a 5th gear (just to check AFRs), muck around with boost levels a bit, etc.

and the rest of u guys can get stuffed .

I've used B&M also, looks like they have updated there dyno software from the dyno charts of yours that u posted a while back, best i could get out of them in the past was a print out. That was the only reservation i had with them. thanks for the info

no it is not andrew . unfortunately, aussie customs has grabbed hold of it and wants me to fork out more money for it. and the flywheel machining is taking longer than hoped...and everybody is shut for xmas until around mid-jan. so the car is sitting in pieces in the workshop, and i have been driving a bmw 328i for 2 weeks, and will be until mid-jan. nice car, but no 951 .

Oh that sucks! Mine got caught in customs as well, add a few hundred dollars in admin, GST, Customs duty, and several other what I think are made up fees!
