I'll change brake pads/rotors anyday over a blown clutch because my shift wasn't as sharp as I thought.

aww cmon... if you dont ride and slip the **** out of your clutch its gonna last perfectly fine. Absolutely nothing wrong with shifting to a lower gear.

I am in the lower gear already faithless...but, you can't be on the throttle and hold the same speed...when you hit the throttle the speeds increase...brakeboosting just prevents this from happening while you build it up and get ready.

Are you saying that trying to accelerate the engine against the brakes isn't going to put stress on the clutch, gearbox, driveshafts?
