I thought from the beggining that spinning the wheels at 100mph is a poor way to measure horsepower, how rough was the road? are you running old narrow tyres? Are your tyres over inflated? are your dampers old? was it snowing? etc etc.
However you seem to have got a lot of power , long may it last,
Tony

it always depends on the road, the tire and what gear you have. My Turbo with the old k27 and MAF could spinn the tires in the 2nd gear at 5200 rpm. using 225/50-16
The 285/30-18 do not spin, not even with more boost and bigger Turbo.
Tomas asuuming the 0,9 Coef. your calculation is right but you do not know if the coeeff. was 0.9 or 0,5 or even lower at this time.

Konstantin
PS I know of a car in Sweeden who can easily spinn teh tires (285/30-18) at 100 mph but it has a 3l )68 Turbo engine in it and some serius mods.
If special Tool has 405 RWHP then this car has at 550 RWHP ( we messured and it was "only" 465 RWHP but faster than a stock 996 GT2)

Konstantin - I have an SAE 405 RWHP dyno sheet.
I cycled it to DIN (German) and it was 419 RWHP.
The correction makes a BIG difference.
I do not pull numbers out of my ***.

Enough already!!! Special Tool was just sharing his experience with you guys. This is not a measure of HP/TQ, just a unique experience. Be happy for him that he's happy with his car's performance.... You would be more than happy if you have the same HP/TQ he's pulling!!!

Well 465 rwhp is a lot more than a stock GT2 so there's nothing strange with that

"Also, if anyone want hard facts about the Lindsey mild steel 3 inch - it has brought my backpressure down SEVEN pounds over a stock exhaust WITHOUT cat"

Do you think this is experienced when going to ANY 3" set up?

Keep in mind that SpecialTool stock exhaust was not in the best shape. The cat was cut and a section was welded in its place (not a good job). Also there were indentations in other places. Not to take anything away from LR 3" exhaust (which I personally use), we don't have good conditions to compare both exhausts...

I know I am jumping in on this thread late, but Special Tool, do you really have a completely stock engine with a Vitesse stage 3? Could you please post your exact engine specs? If this is the case I am impressed!

Badass - when I made 405 RWHP I had:
-untouched head
-untouched manifold
-untouched exhaust (no cat)
-untouched intercooler
-Fidanza flywheel
-Andial race cam (NLA, but very similar to Milledge #2)
-MSD 6
-MSD coil
-Siemens 72
-Paragon AFPR 3.1 bar
-Bosch 044 (Czech)
-NGK 7's (025)
