Default Big Scare tonight. All is well after some research

Stupid me decided to take the oil cap off my car after runing it for a few minutes. The car sits for weeks at a time just a note. Low and behold white residue. I checked the oil, smelled fine. Checked the coolant at the same spot as always. Pulled all the plugs, all looked good. Ran a compression test and all where around 150 psi. I did a little searching I guess if the car sits moisture will build up and cause this. You guys have scared me so bad with all this talk of blown head gaskets. But everything looks good.

Thanks, I have never been so scared in my life. I saw my whole investment go up in my mind.

Did the same thing about 7 yrs ago . Called up the vendor that sold me the chips and told him I was going to kill him because I blew another HG (which he told me I never would again with the chip set he sold me ) ... It was a false alarm ... The vendor never spoke to me again ....

Good thing, Again I am so relieved. I'm glad that someone else has been there. I feel a lot better now.

Yeah. That would be a major bummer. But a HG job on these cars isn't really *that bad*. Until you start replacing all the wear items, like me for instance :-).
