What problem are you having? Did you check the fuse for the fuel pump? If you just wired in a new O2 sensor or A/F gauge and something melted that is on the same fuse as the fuel pump.

I am not sure what you are saying. You get some voltage at the pump but not a full 12 volts? Did you do anything related to your O2 sensor as I mentioned earlier? I would unplug the O2 sensor to be sure that is not the problem. Did you check the voltage at the battery and the fuse box?

What iinitially happened is that I had a gas leak and wanted to swap out the fuel pump for the lindsey high flow pump. I changed the DME rely for a new one, checked all the fuses including #34. Yes, I am getting some voltage at the pump but not 12. When I run a 12 volt power source to the new pump it runs and I get fuel pressure

What's the voltage you're getting? What's the battery reading? Fuel pump connections go through DME relay, Air Bag controller - the car was running before you started all of this? Sorry I might be in on the tail end of something prior here...

By looking at the wiring diagram the fuel pump gets its power from fuse 34 which is feed from the DME relay. So with the key on check the voltage at fuse 34 to see if you are getting good voltage from the DME relay. You could also put 12 V to fuse 34 and if the pump does not run it must be something with the wiring to the fuel pump. It looks like the ground wire is connected some where in the rear there so you might want to check that also.

No problem! Electrical problems are where I can help more being an Electrician and all, even though cars are a little different.

Thanks guys.

Back to basics 30= battery ok, 87B Fuel Pump 12volts (checked ok), 85B ground, 87 computer (there is a God), 85 ground, 86 12volts (ok). It was a bad ground going to the pump. The ground for the pump is underneath the fuel tank – well was. Thanks again.

Tom,
Hi how are you and thanks about the car. However, it’s not the car’s fault. The entire fault all lies in me for putting a knife in her side. For what you may ask? For another step –err rather leap down the old more horsepower slippery slope. My friends and I all agree in ‘horsepower is like money. You can never have too much.”

Unfortunately, I went to visit our friend’s dyno shop for a few more runs. At first when I saw his sign down and his trailer gone I thought it was just another one of his little more elaborate schemes to make it appear that no one was there for my benefit But then I realized that you weren’t there inside waving bye as the garage doors closed while stating that you had to stay with your car.

I guess that he moved back up north. I miss him in a back to basic way.
