Default Hard Starting problem?

88, Non S 951......Starts perfectly in the morning, runs strong no issues there. If it sets 6-8 hours I have to crank it over quite a few turns to get it to start and sometimes I see some grey/blue smoke. Fuel Damper perhaps ? Fuel Pressure regulator ? Thank you for the advice.

FPR, Fuel Check valve, DME temp sensor are a good place to start. If you can do a fuel leakdown test (30 minute test IIRC), it may give you a better indication.
