Hey, the extra boost is not the issue for the HG and worries of blowing up your motor. Its the lean - super lean running conditions that will do it. Extra boost with a car maped to run less = not enough feul to air ratio = very hot running conditions, detonation, and early HG failure, or worse!

Well, I took out the jetted banjo, and played around a little. Waiting on my new boost gauge to mess around too much, but everything seemed fine up and around 13psi. Question though, does a shimmed wastegate hold more boost up to redline ? I don't think my wastegate has been shimmed because I can't even hold the 13psi to redline.

Eyal,

Does your brother still have the Subie? I need garage space, take the damn WRX wheels of my hands... I'll give them to you for 20 bucks for a set of 4. They have about 600 miles on them, some minor scuffs that should buff right out.

If you want 4 16" WRX wheels for 20 bucks TOTAL, PM me and we'll see where we can meet to transfer the goods. I am not willing to drive out to Calabasas with gas at 2.30 a gallon.

Bret,

Your 26/6 doesn't have enough steam to hold boost all the way to redline.
A 26/8, shimmed wastegate, and some proper chips is another story...
