My goal is to run about 20 pounds boost for the streets. My 944 turbo is my daily driver. The turbo I have waiting to be installed is the same as your NZ (60-1/stage 3 exhaust wheel/replica #8 hot housing). I know that Danno's has 20lbs chips available but I want to have some margin of safety. When fast951 get the water injection kit I'll probably look at that also.

Ok, well you can run 20psi easily... in fact that turbo loves high boost (>18). I think you will need to have a timing controller to really take advantage of the water injection. Also, now running 20psi and preprogrammed chips, you really need to have it 100% with respect to fuel and timing. Do you have a fuel or timing controller?

Not yet Andrew. I just got the turbo done. I've been waiting because I just got my car smogged (smog check II). I currently have in my car is APE MAF, k27/6 turbo (non 7200) adj fuel pressure reg. B&B cat back, 2 1/2" test pipe. My plans are to purchase a set a chips from Danno, piggyback from Fast to get the a/f ratios dial in. Bigger injectors. Maybe water injection but if I can get a larger more efficent intercooler to help me reach my goal, why mess what it? I had my current set since 1994 and been very pleased with it but I need more POWER!

What octane do you plan on using to run 20psi on the street?

I have about the same setup except the 7200 compressor and #8 hotside. I think I could pull 340-350hp with better timing and a little clean up of the fuel maps.

I don't see needing any more power.. but to each his own.

What do you make now and what is your goal?

You really CANNOT use any more than 350 rwhp on street tire - you just can't. It is stupid. You will wear out new 275 z rated tires QUICKLY, and they are expensive.

I'm not sure that's entirely the case. I do agree that generally we'd be better off jacking up the torque asap in the rpm range vs. shooting for peak hp numbers if you want your car to go fast. That being said, I don't think that the likely torque generated by a 350+ rwhp 951 is going to render a 275 shod car (especially with lsd) useless, at least it hasn't in my experiences.

Well does New Zealand rate ron or are they r+m/2. like us?
I paid $351 for 55 gallons of VP (r+m/2, oxygenated) motorsport 103 on Thursday.

Edit - I guess we can't ask NZ, because he's been banned again...WTF??
What did he do now????

OUCH. That is some pretty expensive gas. What is that? A little over 6 dollars a gallon?

But, anything for the car right? I hope your using it for racing and not street.

Kesepson - both, I am a sad case.

I also cut 2mm off the head of my Honda 250SX trike, so I'll dump it in there, too

93 US is ~98 RON here what i am using, there is 95 RON which is ~ 90 US which is still acceptable for the 944 turbo according to the manual. 98 RON here costs $1.4/Imperial Gallon

Anyway........keeping on the subject of larger IC
