Default x-post: Dare I ask? Tube frame 914 monster

I've got a buddy here in town that bought a tube framed 914 and is in the process/attempt to build a 9-second drag car out of it.
I know that Porsche's are NOT drag cars but, he's doing it anyways.
So far:
Full tube frame
coil overs
g-50 trans
Nissan Skyline 400-600hp?? twin-turbo motor
Speed Electronics (name?) motor dme/boost/traction contol]

Much more that I forgot but the point is:
What cv joint/axle combo can handle that kind of abuse?
What hub/brake combo would be suited to match this setup?

He not a Porsche guy, he usually mods imports and Dodge/Shelby stuff.
He already has built a Dodge Omni that pulls 10's, and a few other beasts.
His budget is pretty open, so we want the right stuff to handle the load.

Please, I'm not trying to start a flame war. He's looking to me for some P-Car advice, can you guys help?

What's in it for me, you ask? Well the electronics package he is using has the ability to de-tune the boost/power levels with a flick of a switch...............think monster autocross car. Woohoo, I just want to drive it.
Thanks for your input,
Jason

Why is he not using a 930 engine? The rb26dett is not cheap, which one is he using? Does he have it already?

There was an issue in excellence about a 914 that had either a 930 or a 993 twin turbo engine that had 550bhp, can't remember which issue it was, but it is old.

GNK axles
He has the Nissan motor already from another project. I have heard of the GNK axles, do you think they would hold up to drag duty abuse? Or does he need to buy them in bulk..lol
This thing is going to be freaky fast if he can pull it together. He has the resourses to do it, so I hope he can, because I really want to drive this thing when it's done.
Thanks,
Jason

I'd contact a couple custom axle manufacturers who specialize in Import drag racing. You'll find hugely strong axles for comparatively cheap in that market. There are ads in Grassroots Motorsports.

On the outside, why not fit a Ford hub and brakes? They'll be stronger and you'll have more wheel options for your drag slicks, and you certainly don't need anything else for drag racing.
