Default Selling my 89 951...do you think price is fair???

I know, I know, I am selling my turbo, but in my defense I am selling it for a good cause. I want to do some serious track time and I dont want to start welding in a cage, ripping out interior and possibly throw this car in the wall. I am going to sell this one and find one already set up.
Anyway, my question is, do you think that I am asking a fair price for my car?
All the info and pictures are at: http://racer986s.home.mindspring.com/944Turbo/

I was just looking your opinion (you guys have helped me over the years and I value your opinion).
Thanks so much guys and dont worry, ill be back soon.

Yeah the price is fair, but I paid a lot less for mine with lower mileage and otherwise a very similar car.

hmm....I guess maybe I am alone but, 15 grand for a 944 turbo just seems way too high for me. I paid 7200 bucks for my 88 turbo and it came with perfect records and almost new everything. I think since its a 89 you can expect to pay a premium....I mean after it they are the most saught after for some...but, your asking more than double what I paid for my car. I think 12-13k might be a more fair price. Especially since the mileage is 111k.

Ofcourse wtf do I know. Maybe someone will be willing to pay it.

It's too high if you want to sell it soon. There are probably much better deals out there, it just takes a little work to find them.

Looks good, and I hope you are able to get it, I would love to see the 944 market bottom out, and start to increase on cars well kept. Good Luck. Scott.

I'm in line with John, 111k, driver seat in poor shape, click "other images", I would say 10-12 max.

I think it's a little high, too -- one of those cracks in the dash is a little more than minor. And those miles are going to scare people away (even though it's the maintenance that counts). People with money to spend tend to want <80k miles.

T3,
I would clean up the stereo and fog light issues and not mention them. I would sell the extra wheels separate too. For that kind of money, I would expect to do nothing to the car to have an excellent example. I paid more than that for an excellent car a year ago and am glad I did.

Well, I for one appreciate your thinking. It seems to me an '89 linen grey car (sweet color!) in concourse shape is more "dear" than a track candidate. Hard to define whats reasonable in this strata, but amazing car, thanks from me for saving it.

Thanks to everyone for your reply. I agree that this is not a concour car. I have just cleaned it up very well and paid attention to the little details and that is why I have done so well in concours. I just metioned the wins to one, get attention, and two to explain that this car is very well cared for and not just another turbo that the owner doesn't appreciate. Not that that applies to anyone here, I just hate to think of this car going to some kid to impress his friend and end up making a close aquantance with a tree trunk. I never though that I would ever get my asking price for the car, but I did want a cusion for negotiations. I would readily come down if I know that the future owner would care for the car even half of what I did. You know that we all love our cars and the value of our pride and joy to us far exceeds what another would pay.
That being said, my price is in no way firm. But I think it is better to start high and come down from there. You cannot do it the other way around.
Well, I would like to thank you all, you contrabution has given me a lot to think about. I always value your options.
