Well, if you are getting into the 2.8 levels and #10 hotsides, I would think you would be past the "bolt on" stage of upgrades and thus have done some actual motor work first, before such a big hotside and really high boost. I.e intake, head work, cams, valves, etc. Lay down a bigger foundation to work with. Then, slap on a big *** turbo and real high boost.

PS if you are here representing LR, which obviously is the case, you could at least become a sponsor if John D would accept you, and I find it personally sad that you are not even a member...

>>>Yeah some real world experiences would be good.
I actually cannot remember seeing one post on this forum from one that actually have tried a 10# hotside on a 2.5 liter engine.
Well, perhaps some of the tuner's turbos have bigger hotsides but that's in the dark..<<<
You know, now that I think about it, what about TonyG's all Garret turbo on his 2.5 with the 4 into 1 SFR headers? Obviously not a KKK #10 but maybe a similar volume?

Hey Guys,
Vetblack is a friend of mine. He is traveling today I believe. He is currently building a 3 liter track motor. This has the 2.7 S head, lt. fly and crank, larger injectors, etc.

Hey, if we get back on topic, I would also like to hear about differences between #8 and #10.
Quite often "#10" is a designation that vendors use to indicate that it's "bigger" than a #8.
But yes; how is it bigger?
Here's is my observation as I have a #10:
Exducer size is same as #8 (ID is 2.25" where the exducer wheel fits),
Different flange for fitment of crossover pipe into hothousing where there is a slightly larger opening (however, didn't measure it)
Cannot see size of opening where exhaust gas enters blades.
Net observation results: hardly any difference, visually.
Power: definitely more
I question my diameter of the exducer as I would think that the wheel should be a little bigger than a #8.

Perhaps the best comparison is the car's Chris White dynoed some time ago. Pretty much a stock engine with a big Garret GT-series with a 0.82 hotside. A lot of power, but a very steep curve.
