Default intake air temps

Warning to all who want to get a cone filter for the stock location.

I put a thermo couple behind the intercooler and on a 90 degree day got a reading of around 200 degrees out. this is the same air that is being pulled into the motor when using a cone filter.

moral, keep the stock air box AND snorkel.

Put the thermo couple 6" away from the intercooler and drive your car faster than 20mph and see what the air-temps are....

Ive always wonderd why people go to a cone filter in the stock location when you can get some nice cool air from the fender area.

You have serious issues! I had an air temp sensor in the intake pipe (using K&N round filter) and got 8-9 degrees above ambient...
