Default New to Rennlist

Hi guys,

I am new to Rennlist and thought I would post some pics of my 86 951 (sorry for all the reflections on the car). Purchased it last year with 48k miles, it came with the Fikse wheels, 4" Lindey exhaust, DP waste gate, manual boost, Autoauthority chip and Weltmeister sway bars. Over the last year I put on Bilstein Cup shocks and springs, removed the rear torsion bars and solid mounted the torsion tube. Turbo S front spindles and control arms; big black calipers and 993TT rotors with aluminum tophats; braided brake lines; and adjustable camber plates. Installed a wide band O2 gauge, 968 mirrors and clear turn signals. Currently saving up for timing belt replacement and engine mods.

An average 2000 miles a year for 24 years and it's modded like that? Curious. No offence intended but that does seem a little odd.

Looks great by the way and you've got a great car on your hands. Some engine bay and interior shots would be nice too.

Thanks for the compliments guys! Here are some pics of the interior and engine (pics taken earlier this year, before 968 mirror installation). The interior is in great shape, no cracks in the leather or dash; the only damage is a scrape in the leather bolster on the passengers seat. According to the Carfax when I purchesd the car in 2009; I am the fifth owner. The previous owner had the car since 2007 and moded the car and used it for track days and tours only. He said it appears to have been a west coast (Calif, WA, OR) garage queen most of its life by the previous owners and it has rarely seen rain, hence the low mileage. The reason he was selling was he was tired of 951's, as this was his second one and had a deal lined up for a Cayman S. The local Porsche shop that did the mechanical inspection for my vehicle registration said the car is like new and mechanically tight; very shiny original paint for its age, except the nose panel which shows evidence of a repaint; no rust anywhere and all the rubber weather stripping and hoses are still like new; a very good find.

Unfortunately door sill protectors came with the car when I purchased it; so I do not know who makes then. They are vinyl strips with a magnetic back. I wil try to contact the previous owner to find out where he got them.

Don't worry about it. I thought they were metal.
