I run plates because I have to. I hate it. Friggin New Jersey. 
I've tried getting away without the front plate on the firebird (like the Vette you have to remove a plastic dummy piece to show the plate, which totally f*'s up the aerodynamic nose). I've gotten pulled over for it three times, it just gives them an excuse.
I see no reason for front plates, I hate this stupid rule.
