Default Too rich again? Finally fixed Thanks

I decided to increase my boost from 14psi to 16psi, Iam running the Lindsey digital Maf(Pro-M) I was expecting to do a lot adjustements after the increase but the air fuel ratio didn't change that much actually I think iam still too rich from 2200rpm to about 5000rpm, is that real bad beside consuming a lot of gas?

yeah if you're too rich in the midrange your torque is going to be lower than it should be.

12.0:1 when on boost should be a safe ratio, do you have a stock turbo?

I have a SFR stage 1 turbo and, 52lbs injectors. Ok so it's about 12.0.1 when boost hits, I will try to bring it to that ratio later today when i get home.

Thanks a lot.

Just looked at the MAFterburner on the Lindsey website, it looks very very sweet and simply 'up and down' to increase/decrease your a/f ratio......... man......with the amount of gadgets out there today, you REALLY want to change you 'plans' for upgrades

Sam, It's actually the Innovate LM-1 wideband sensor with the Logworks software very easy to use.

this is the last run after making some adjustments. My question for the experts, am I running too lean in some spots about 5500-5900 rpms, are those spikes dangerous enough to cause detonation?

Thanks

Thanks, I had named the file for the last run "IGIVEUP", I honestly didn't think it was good. But iam so frigging happy today, after 2 years, 3 blown head gaskets, one broken ring and a engine rebuild, it's finally done. I was going to try to bring the final A/F ratio to 12:0.1 about 6300rpm but if you think it's ok Iam taking my wife to dinner tonigh.

Thanks fellow Rennlisters.

Lart, do you use the LM1 solely with the hand controller when doing accurate tuning runs, or do you also have it connected to the analog AFR gauge so you can keep a close eye on things whilst driving in general.

I like the accuracy and data logging capabiliy of the hand held unit, but I also want something I can easily monitor when driving hard. I think the LM1 could be for me

For tuning I ussually do the runs with my oldest son and he monitors the LM-1, but for general driving I have a AFR meter bought from Lindsey racing. I just love the simplicity of use of the LM-1. Next i will order the analog unit that connects to the LM-1 for more accurate reference.

Do you have the sensor mounted permantly or do you use the exhaust clamp and put the sensor in the tailpipe?
