Car won't start... HELP!

NZ: Because when you live in a country where people 'think' they know their stuff, you come here and share it with everyone and it turns out to be completely false. In such a case, they make fun and mock (happened a lot here to me)..........

Try getting a new/used DME Relay and see if she starts up.
If it does, then always (in my opinion) carry a used/new one (as long as it's working) as a spare as i do in the glove box...........
Here is a useful linke from Clarks Garage on 'Hard Start' trouble shooting: http://www.clarks-garage.com/shop-manual/eng-15.htm
BTW, does the rpm 'bounce' when you try starting the car? if it does, that indicated a working reference sensor.

Hosrom,
I tired some stuff suggested to me by other rennlisters, none of them worked. I'm calling all the local auto parts stores to see if I can get a DME Relay. I'll letcha know how it goes.

in a pinch you can take the cover off the relay and wedge a couple of folded up pieces of paper so that the contacts are closed. This will at least get you home. I carry a spare in my car, the only time I ever had a failure, I had just put my spare into a customer's car, I took my car to lunch and it wouldn't start when it was time to go back to work. I closed the contacts with a couple of small strips of paper and drove it back to the shop.

We need to get a spreadsheet of NO START issues:
NO START Check Located Description Alternate(jump wires ? to ?)
Highlighted will of course be the DME relay, TPS, spark, Alarm module, DME itself, fuel pump, coil.
Wes, have you tried jumpering out the DME realy pins to start the fuel pump? take the nut off the fuel rail in front, put a hose over the threads, turn the over to see if you get fuel? Do an archive search for "jumper fuel pump" or maybe someone reading this has a set of FSM to tell you how to rig the jumper, I'm at work.
does the car have an alarm and do you use it?

Ski,
No i havn't jumped the DME. A fellow rennlister told me on AIM how to, just havn't had the time to.
Uhh.. on the alarm, i'm assuming it has one and no i've never used it. I just lock it with the key.

Do it, that way you know your getting fuel from the fuel pump. Nut is a 19mm IIRC(17mm?) and there is a small ball bearing in there, don't loose it.
There are two sensors at the back of the engine, behind the intake. They're on a bracket, both are rectanglular, these are your speed and reference sensors. Speed is the back sensor, feeds off the teeth of the starter ring gear attached to the flywheel. Reference sensor is the front one, reads off the set screw on the flywheel. Unplug them and plug them back in. You will need to remove the small copper retaining wire, don't loose it. The round plug next to it is your O2 sensor wire, fyi.l
