951 to 993??..

Default 951 to 993??..

I have a '86 951 with guru chips 15psi, tial wastegate and other small things on the car. How would that compare to a stock say either '95 or '96 993 NON-turbo? I know the turbo 993 is much faster but I was wondering if anyone could tell me the difference between those two. I have ALWAYS wanted to get a 993 so bad. I am going to get one after I save up enough which will be about 2 years to just buy the car outright without any kind of loan. I was wondering though if I should just get the 993 or the 993 TT. I know you guys will say "GET THE TURBO!!" but if the performance is even a little better then I have now I might just get the NA. Anyone around my area willing to take me out sometime in there 993 if they have one? I would be willing to travel any where from ANYWHERE in cleveland/akron/canton area (that is where I am from), also any where around Marietta, Columbus and maybe Dayton area.

my brother has a 1996 993 and i have a 1986 951 and the only upgrades i have done are guru 18 psi chips tial wastegate and relaiboost and i blow his car away..my opinion keep the 951 if you are into speed

I just sold my 1995 993 last month and replaced it with another 951. The 951 with chips is faster on boost. There is no lag with the na 993 and I had a pss-9 coilover suspension so it was great at the track. On the road and aroun town the 993 was treated with more respect by other drivers and valets than the 951, but both cars can acomplish the same on a track. I believe the 951 can be made signifigantly faster around the track, I will see how much faster I can be around Summit point. I have done 1:30 lap times in both the 951 and 993 and the 951 only had autothority chips and a test pipe with bilstein sports and hd springs. Once I add a larger turbo and MAF we will see how much faster I can be in a 951.
