I reckon a boost leak as well my pipe to the intercooler was leaking, could hear the turbo and the recirculating dump valve long before I saw / felt a problem with boost. I think oil change was coincidence or a pipe was disturbed.

Checked all hose clamps? Like the little ones that hold the bypass valve onto the J-Boot, things like that?

I am kind of confuse here isn't the BOV same thing as the Bypass valve or diverter valve?, the stock BOV does make that sound.

Here is one that Iam selling are we talking about the same thing. The BOV does make some kind of whooosssh at least in my car i can hear it breathing. Maybe hosrom means the cycling valve?

Is the bypass from the wastegate pipe leaking, this can cause the woosh sound?
also check your wastegate actuator has not worked loose.

A bypass valve releases back into the intake where as a BOV releases to atmosphere. That is the difference

Haven't you had that intercooler off recently to clean??
It is def worth checking the integrity of your hose connections

Tommo951: Yes, but this is an older post. Once i removed the IC (and pipes) cleaned them out and tightened a few lose bolts (timing belt cover, vacuum lines and few water hose clamps) the sound went off.

for some reason this post came back
