Default Any Big Reds for sale w/rotors or similar upgrade for '86 944 Turbo

What are some upgrade choices for better brakes/rotors/pads?

I only know of Big Reds. Thanks.

I thought you were selling? There was a set of big reds in the classifieds recently.

you are going to need lindseys big red kit or SFRs kit for 86 models. OORRR change hubs/spindles, control arms and tierods from a 87+ then they will bolt on with a set of adapters from racers edge. You can get away with just doing hubs/spindles if you have camber plates (this is not from experience, just lotsa research as Im collecting the parts to do the swap.)

Brembo has a "Signature Series" as well. Black calipers, 2 piece rotors. I assume you would need the same brackets to fit them to your car-I can only see a listing for 930, 993, 996, and Cayenne.

You will only need hubs and spindels, if you do not rack the car. Or am I wrong.

Ian Klass had a nice setup on his 86 951. Larger calipers & rotors than the Big Reds. Someone on the list has the car now, maybe one of them will share the info.

I've got a set: front Big Reds, rear 968 CS - with rotors for the rear, front rotors have tiny lines on the cross drilled holes. Master cylinder to go with it. No pads $1400

I did a Big Red upgrade on my 86 using the last of the ProSpeed adapter kits. Jason at Paragon has a few left. This is a full photo essay on the install, with notes:

He had 996TT brakes- I almost bought them off him, but decided I didnt want to have to deal with having custom rotors made everytime I needed new ones- why not just go with the Big Reds- anything more than that is just unecessary, imo.
