Idle Speed Adjustment
I was trying to raise my idle speed a bit the other day, and when I turned the idle speed adjustment screw in the throttle body, the idle would come up to about 1000 rpm (where I want it), but then it was almost like the fuel injection system pulled the fuel to bring it back down to 800 rpm. Any thoughts on how I can get it to stay at 1000? The car is stock except for chips and MBC. Thanks
Chris

You have to disable the IAS through the diagnostic port then adjust your idle screw. If you go to the Lindsey site, they have a good description of the ports, with diagrams, and the sequence.
www.lindseyracing.com then go to technical, then idle adjustment or something like that.

The only way to get the idle to stay above 850 is to disable the Idle Stabilizer.
The DME monitors engine RPM and opens or closes the ISV to maintain a normal idle. This is particularly important when you are running the A/C or you have the electrical system loaded.

Don't forget, the car has to be at operating temp. Drive it for 10 mins or so and use either the lindsey site or www.clarks-garage.com on idle speed adjustment. You WOULD need to bypass the ISV, simple and takes few mins to adjust the idle.
