I get full boost at 3100 rpm with the guru 364 kit. Set at 18psi, 3" testpipe, 38mm wastegate. Once the turbo kicks in the car is scary fast. I raced a friends Z06 last night and i was surprised on how bad i beat him. I can't wait to dyno my car.

Search the forums, they are 'kits' out there (Guru Racing, Vitesse Racing and Lindsey racing), or go and do everything yourself, turbocharger, WG, chips/MAF/MAP with fuel controller/piggyback etc.........

Hey 86 951,
18 psi at 3100 rpm ? At what gear & what type of
boost controller are you using ? Sorry I find it rather
difficult to grasp that you can do that with a K27/8.

Can't you get custom chips to make the K27/8 spool faster in that 3,100~3,300 range?

It's not a K27/8...heh, heh...

The best I've been able to do with a K27/8 is around 3500rpm for max-boost (20psi). But at 3100, it was still around 13psi and had more torque there than the stock car had at its peak! That K27/8 chart can be found on this thread: 75# injectors

my k27/6 made 16 psi at 3100 rpm.
I do not think any other big Turbo can do that. I had a EBC from HKS, MAF better blow Off valve etc etc.
Any bigger Turbo makes about 16 PSI over 3300 rpm. on a 2.5L engine.
what is important is WHEN the Turbo starts makes Boost and WHEN the Turbo hits the 15 PSI an dHOW LONG does it takes to do that?
my last Big Turbo needs at least 3 times longer to hit the 16 PSI than the previous k27/6 took.
The k27/6 took about 1,5 sec. the new Big turbo needs about 4-5 sec

my 968 Turbo S starts make boost at 1800 rpm

Hi Konstatin,
Now that looks about right on your set up.
I'm using a GT25 with reliaboost & I don't see
full boost of 16 psi till 3200rpm. I totally agree
with you, it's when the turbo makes boost.
The 364 kit that Danno spoke about before
uses a K27/8. In this context how can it hit
18psi at 3100rpm for a 2.5L ?
