Default 3.0 BAR BOSCH FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR

How much more fuel pressure does this have compared to the stock one?

Is the stock one around 2.5 bar or something like that?

Well I guess my next question would be:
Is the 3 bar fuel regulator an overkill for just an exhaust upgrade like the Lindsey Racing 951 3" SYSTEM for MUFFLER w / WG PIPE AND NO CAT?

I heard that most people have had to add bump up fuel 10% when they upgraded to this exhaust...

More fuel pressure is mainly used to get more fuel out of stock injectors. Your stock injectors will bottom out at about 300 hp. You wont get there with just an exhaust upgrade. If you manage to get better flow through the engine, the flowmeter will notice and ask the DME to keep the injectors open a little longer to maintain afr. This works as long as neither the measuring system nor the fuel delivery system bottoms out. Then, if you run much higher boost you would want to run a little richer, that has to be tuned via chips or signal massaging ( or both).

No need for more fuel with just an exhaust. Once you chip it and increase boost then you will need more fuel. There is more to it than that but the bottom line is don't change anything till you can measure your A/F ratio's or you can meltdown your motor! Tune with caution!

The other thing is that the 3.0 bar FPR will give you 9% more fuel across the board everywhere. That may not be optimal as your idle will be too rich and uneven. Certain mods for high-RPM flow creates mid-range reversion which actually requires dialing back fuel in the mid-range by -10 to -20%, yet the high-end requires +10 to +20% more fuel. No way to do that with just an FPR.

But if his car is equipped with a o2-sensor then idle and part-throttle will be fine.
