I just installed an arm1 hooking up grounds and 12v power at the stereo and running the orange wire to the black one on the o2 sensor.

when I run the car the center light stays lit and does nothing else.

anyone know what's wrong and how to correct it?

I am traveling and don't have anything to confirm your wiring. Assuming you have it hooked up right, is there any chance your O2 sensor is dead? Have you tried putting a volt meter on the O2 input pin of the DME (with the ARM1 disconnected)?
